Moss Watching

Forests and streams are a paradise for moss plants. We will use loupes to observe various kinds of mosses.
Why don’t you take a look into the small but profound and fascinating world of mosses?

Please register in advance and arrive at the Information Center 10 minutes prior to departure on the day of the tour.

Adults 1,500 yen Elementary school students 1,000 yen Free for preschool children
*Children (elementary school students and younger) are not allowed to participate alone. Please participate with an adult.
*Admission fee to Makibaen will be charged separately.

Please wear clothes and shoes that allow you to walk in the forest. (long sleeves, long pants, sneakers or trekking shoes)
Please bring a loupe and a misting spray if you have one.

Application

Please apply for a reservation form at least 3 days prior to the date of the event.

precautions

In case of rain, the event will be cancelled. In case of cancellation, you will be notified by e-mail by the evening of the day before.
On the day of the tour, please come to the Information Center 10 minutes before departure.
If you feel unwell or sick during the tour, please consult with the guide.
Children (elementary school students and younger) are not allowed to participate in the tour alone. Children (elementary school age and younger) should be accompanied by an adult.
Pets are not allowed to join the tour.
