Nara’s famous shaved ice store “kakigori hosekibako” will open a limited time store again this year Koiwai Farmin Makiba Park!
Shaved ice topped with special fruit sauce and fluffy espuma is the specialty of this popular restaurant.
Once again, Koiwai Farmwill offer a collaborative menu featuring dairy products from in limited quantities and by web reservation only.

Please take this opportunity to taste the beautiful looking “kakigori hosekibako” plum milk yogurt and the pineapple milk yogurt made by the Koiwai Farmstaff trained at “kakigori hosekibako”.

What is the “kakigori hosekibako” shaved ice specialty store?

This specialty store (operated by Houkokubako LLC) is the spark that ignited the popularity of shaved ice in Nara.
Nara City is called the “sacred land of ice” due to the presence of Himuro Shrine in the city, and more than 60 shaved ice stores specializing in shaved ice are gathered in the center of the city.
Among them, Hosekibako is a very popular place that attracts many people from all over the country throughout the year in search of shaved ice from Hosekibako.
The beautiful looking shaved ice is made with the finest seasonal ingredients, including fruits from Nara Prefecture.
